The small but proud Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, a dwarf state sandwiched between Belgium, France and Germany. It has maintained its independence to the present days and boasts a rich history, which helps to attract a flow of tourists. Majestic architecture, nature like in postcard, delicious wines from local vineyards and a relaxed atmosphere create the illusion of a revived medieval fairy tale. The capital is the city of Luxembourg, in the past - one of the most magnificent fortresses in Europe. Most of the architectural values are concentrated in the Upper City, and banks, office buildings and breweries are in the Lower City across the bridge.

A charming Vianden lurks on the banks of the river Ur, near the Germany border. You can follow the routes of Victor Hugo through the cobbled streets with churches and mansions, labyrinths of castle chambers and well-groomed promenades. And after the trip you can enjoy the local walnut wine and take a night sightseeing train - the city changes after dark.

Wiltz is the gateway to the Luxembourg Ardennes: a 13-kilometer pedestrian route extends through mountain forests and valleys, encircling the sights at the same time. An alternative to hiking is cycling along secluded trails, abandoned train tracks and other picturesque places. Remisch is a paradise for fine wine connoisseurs in the middle of the Moselle River vineyards. The “little Switzerland” with the canyon of the Wolf's Maw, sheer cliffs and romantic castles lies in the vicinity of Echternach. There are ski resorts and healing springs in Luxembourg too.

Good road, rail and air connections with other European countries, as well as the chamberliness and comfort of Luxembourg, make it an increasingly popular place for international meetings. About 3 million people visit the half million country every year. Tourism is an important sector of the national economy and contributes a significant share to GDP. The basis of the Luxembourg economy, first of all, is the developed services sector, including financial services. There are about 1000 investment funds and more than 200 banks located in the capital thanks to the favorable conditions and an offshore zone, it is more than in any other city in the world.

Luxembourg is a very small city and country. It is comfortable for living, for doing business, for educational tourism. The country has been maintaining its favorable status as a European business crossroads for many years within its small size but extremely favorable location. And the multinationality and loyalty of immigration policy makes the Grand Duchy the home to hundreds of nationalities and cultures.

Business Information

More than 160 thousand foreigners come to work in Luxembourg annually - and this is a third part of the permanent Luxembourg population. Low tax rates and a developed banking system have turned the country into a business magnet. The desire to provide its citizens and foreign investors with convenient business opportunities has made Luxembourg the largest global financial center. The convenient location and presence in this country of most EU institutions create favorable conditions for doing business for any interested person. Business in Luxembourg has a lot of advantages - here is the developed infrastructure and  flexible tax policy, and an excellent investment climate, and the promotion of research and development. In addition, Luxembourg has a strong legislative framework, a high concentration of financial institutions and a lack of foreign exchange control. A nice bonus is a simplified procedure for registering companies.

The country is interested in a transparent and continuously developing investment climate on its territory according to local legislation, so the registration of a business in Luxembourg is not burdened with complicated requirements. It will not be difficult for EU citizens, and the rest of the foreigners will have to make a bit  effort with obtaining a temporary residence permit and permission to conduct entrepreneurial activity. Large-scale changes began in 2014, when the country's government decided to turn Luxembourg into a hub for technological innovation and related finances. Technology startups from around the world began to migrate to Luxembourg. Technological projects receive support not only from venture investors and private sources, but also from the state. The country has developed and made public funding mechanisms publicly available n a short time. The Luxembourg government has signed a number of international agreements to avoid double taxation. Thus, non-residents were given the opportunity not to pay taxes at their actual location or citizenship. And the tax rate here is one of the lowest in Europe - only about 27%, taking into account all the necessary payments and VAT.

At first glance the inhabitants of Luxembourg look like reserved and too restrained people, but it turns out that this comes from innate tact, it’s worth a little closer chat and you will see that the Luxembourgers are very hospitable people, and they are always ready to help as much as they can. I must say that the hard work of the Luxembourgers is in the blood, they just do not understand how you can not to work, even the children of local billionaires who are not engaged in their parents business can work in any field from piloting passenger liners to public service. It does not surprise anyone in Luxembourg. Despite the unhurried and measured rhythm of life, punctuality is above all else. Working in Luxembourg is much easier than anywhere else; here is the maximum concentration of entrepreneurs per square meter. The country's leaders plans to continue to work to become one of the global centers for the development of hi-tech business.
